Mechanism of Tadacip

The phosphodiesterase type 5 enzymes are crucial for reversing erections. They work by breaking down the molecules called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). The role of these molecules is to relax the smooth muscle cells and increase the blood flow in the penis to attain an erection.

When PDE 5 inhibitors are activated, PDE 5 enzymes get inhibited. Hence, the cGMP molecules remain in the body for more time than usual. This results in an erection that is sustained for a longer period.
