Tadacip 10 mg is a medicine that is administered by healthcare experts to help treat erectile dysfunction. Occasionally, this drug is used to treat symptoms of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Tadacip falls under the category of PDE 5 inhibitors.
The active ingredient and generic version of Tadacip is tadalafil. This drug is only purchasable with a prescription from a healthcare professional.
Mechanism of Tadacip
The phosphodiesterase type 5 enzymes are crucial for reversing erections. They work by breaking down the molecules called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). The role of these molecules is to relax the smooth muscle cells and increase the blood flow in the penis to attain an erection.
When PDE 5 inhibitors are activated, PDE 5 enzymes get inhibited. Hence, the cGMP molecules remain in the body for more time than usual. This results in an erection that is sustained for a longer period.
Tadacip, being a PDE 5 inhibitor, inhibits the working of PDE 5 enzymes and increases the erection period.
